Welcome to 'The Literature Society', I simply must start by thanking the pupils, staff and all Westonbirt families and alumni for inspiring such a society - your joyous reception of Summer 2020's virtual podcasts was a much-needed boost for the English team at Westonbirt. To know how many of you love to read, to talk about books (and the world!) and the ways your own philosophies of life have been shaped from your favourite novels has been a blessing.
To honour this, and I admit to allow me to live out my own - albeit less morbid - 'Dead Poet's Society' dream, we are relaunching the podcasts. Now that we can access the 'real' world again we desperately want to celebrate our beautiful library and the enriching atmosphere of Westonbirt School.
So please join me - with various Westonbirt staff and students; a cup of tea or coffee; by the fire and a good book.
