Casual Swimming Teacher / Coach

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and suitably qualified Casual Swimming Teacher/ coaches at Westonbirt School to join our Swimming Academy Team.

We are seeking candidates who hold a valid Swim England Level 2 or equivalent Swim Teaching Qualification and RLSS or NRASTC Lifeguarding Qualification  

Current Hours available: 

  • Wednesdays 4.30pm – 6.30pm
  • Fridays 4pm – 7pm
  • Saturdays 9am – 1pm
  • Saturdays 1pm – 3pm
  • Sundays 9am – 12pm

Classes include private 1:1 lessons and group lessons in line with Learn to Swim Stages 1-7

A Parent & Baby qualification is desirable, but not required.

Housekeepers/ Cleaners

Westonbirt Schools are seeking Housekeepers to join our friendly and busy housekeeping team, to perform a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of a safe, clean and hygienic environment.  Key duties may include cleaning toilets, showers, bathrooms, the vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping of floors, corridors and rooms. The completion of laundry and other domestic duties and ensuring that cleaning materials are safely stored.

We have various hours available both full time, part time, term time and year-round.

Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buildings Maintenance Manager at Westonbirt Schools.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating the works of the Maintenance Team and for ensuring that items which require maintenance are working as expected and required in line with the School’s policies and procedures. This is a supportive hands-on role. There is an expectation to support the team from the ground as required.

We are seeking candidates with a construction background, a good understanding and knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations and ongoing PPM requirements, site safety, permit to work systems and emergency planning as well as the experience and competence to carry out most basic trade works within the carpentry, plumbing and painting spheres. A trade qualification would be desirable.

Electrician (Qualified)

Electrician (Qualified)

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Electrician to work as part of a team of Electricians and other skilled tradesmen within a leading independent boarding school based in a stately home. The Electrician (Qualified) is responsible for the efficient and effective planning, scheduling, coordination and supervision of electrical works and electrical compliance across the school estate, ensuring electrical systems are maintained, with remedial and emergency work completed.

Full time, 39 hours per week to be flexible around the needs of the business. The start date for this role will be dependent upon the receipt of satisfactory safeguarding checks but hopefully July 2021.

Leisure Centre Receptionist

Leisure Centre Receptionist

We are looking to recruit a Leisure Centre Receptionist to be the first point of contact for all customers and visitors to the Leisure Centre, to provide an excellent customer focused service, to provide administration and operational duties at the Leisure Centre.

We are looking for two Receptionist who can share the following shifts:

  • Monday 4.30pm – 7pm, may increase to 8pm
  • Wednesday 3.30pm – 7pm
  • Thursday 3.30pm – 6.30pm
  • Friday 4pm – 8pm
  • Saturday 9am – 2pm
  • Sunday 2pm – 5pm

Year-round with annual leave to be taken in the school holiday period.

Salary dependant on experience.

Part Time Duty Manager

Part Time Duty Manager

A Vacancy has arisen for a Part Time Duty Manager within our Leisure Centre at Westonbirt Schools.

The Duty Manager position will ensure the efficient operation of the department within Westonbirt Leisure brand including but not limited to the Sports Centre in compliance with local and national legislation.

We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years leisure industry experience (may be part time) who are confident communicator at all levels, can show evidence of success as an individual and as part of a team has a Flexible approach to working hours and holds a current RLSS lifeguard qualification or be willing to complete training.

Training opportunities to train as a swim coach and other opportunities available

This is a Part time role and will cover mostly evenings and weekends in line with the working rotas. Hours not fixed.  A flexible approach to working hours is necessary to perform this role.

Salary: £ 24,000 FTE

Estates Plumber

Estates Plumber

We are looking to recruit a Plumber to work as part of a team of other skilled tradesmen within a leading independent boarding school based in a stately home.

The Estates Plumber is responsible for the efficient and effective planning, scheduling, coordination, supervision and actioning of plumbing works across the school estate, ensuring systems are maintained, with remedial and emergency work completed.

Housekeeping Supervisor

A vacancy has arisen for a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the Housekeeping Manager in supervising the Housekeeping Team ensuring that Housekeeping operation provides the highest level of cleanliness in maintained throughout the schools on a daily basis. This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of a safe, clean and hygienic environment.  Key duties may include cleaning toilets, showers, bathrooms, the vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping of floors, corridors and rooms as well as the completion of laundry and other domestic duties and ensuring that cleaning materials are safely stored.

The role is full time, year-round, 37.5 hours per week in line with the working rotas

IT Helpdesk Technician

Working within the expanding central IT Team under the supervision of the Group IT Manager, the IT Helpdesk Technician takes responsibility for:

  • the efficient management of the IT Helpdesk
  • the diagnosis and resolution of routine system and network issues
  • the configuration and installation of new hardware and software

A full induction as well as system and network familiarisation will be provided; there are also opportunities for continuous professional development and technical qualification.

Commercial Executive

Commercial Executive 

The successful candidate will have an outgoing and friendly character and will be able to provide all stakeholders with a high level of customer service. Someone who can react to and solve problems quickly and look out for commercial opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and customer service skills are vital to be successful in this role.

A background, or qualification, in digital marketing or similar would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of the role some out of hours work may be required, including evenings and weekends.

Caretaker

We are looking for an enthusiastic Caretaker who under the direction of the Estates Manager will be responsible for duties covering minor repairs and maintenance, porterage, grounds and general duties to support the School and Leisure Centre.

This is a varied role and the post holder will have various interdepartmental roles throughout the school providing support throughout the Estates Department including:

  • Basic handy work and porterage around a stately home / boarding school, as requested by the Estates Manager.
  • To perform a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of a safe, clean and hygienic environment. 
  • To be responsible for ensuring the buildings and gates, where necessary, are opened in the morning and secured at night.
  • To assist with the set-up and subsequent reset of rooms for events.
  • To be an on-site / on-call presence for events as required.
  • To work with the Grounds department to assist in keeping Westonbirt School grounds and pitches in the best possible condition.
  • To be on hand as out of hours point of contact for emergency services if required.
  • Any other duties requested by the Estates Manager

Working hours will be subject to variation, will cover weekends and unsocial hours will be necessary. Accommodation will be provided and will be available from the end of November

A Vacancy has arisen for a Full Time Senior Duty Manager at our Leisure Centre at Westonbirt Schools.
